ABOUT FABRIZIO PIERANDREI
Fabrizio Pierandrei started his career as an architect, promoting a holistic approach to the discipline that disregards the boundaries between design fields, gathers methodologies and tools from different disciplines, and fosters the necessity of cutting-edge research on technological, social, and behavioral features.
In more than 30 years of work, he has developed skills in metadesign, behavioral research, product-service and strategic design, and design thinking for several international clients.
In 2012, he founded PACO Design Collaborative, an innovative network of professionals whose projects explore the potential of Design and Education in fostering social innovation, sustainable behaviors, and business opportunities. With PACO, he participated in several European-funded projects dedicated to the empowerment of youth and children, also in critical and marginalized communities.
He is the creator of The Design School for Children with the idea of spreading the culture of Design and critical thinking in primary and secondary schools, an activity that he is carrying out also as the director of the Junior Design Lab at the ADI Design Museum in Milan.
Since 1997, he has collaborated with several international universities as a visiting professor and teaches Service Design and Strategic Design at the Politecnico di Milano, POLI.design, IED Milano, GEM Grenoble Ecole de Management, and at the School of Architecture at UNAV, Pamplona.
He is a member of the board of BEDA, the Bureau of European Design Associations.
