Embark on a captivating journey through cinematic history as Turrin explores music inspired by the silver screen. Experience the artistry of renowned composers as their melodies come to life. The concert includes Darius Milhaud’s evocative piano transcription of the Madame Bovary soundtrack and Mario Tedesco’s playful tribute reflecting the whimsical world of Mickey Mouse. Also included is Nino Rota’s piano rendition of the soundtrack to Fellini’s masterpiece Casanova.
ABOUT ROBERTO TURRIN
Roberto Turrin graduated from the “G. Tartini” Conservatory of Music in Trieste, where he studied with pianist Luciano Gante, as well as pianist Lya De Barberiis in Italy and Switzerland. After receiving awards from the International Music Competitions in Stresa and Morcone, Roberto Turrin began his career performing as a soloist, with orchestra and with various chamber ensembles in more than 20 countries throughout North America and Europe, recording for national television and radio networks (RAI Italy, Radio Tv Slovenia, Tv Polska, Bulgarian TV, Belarus TV). Roberto Turrin is presently serving as director of the Conservatory of Music “G. Tartini” in Trieste, he has been Artistic Director of International Music Festival “Echos” and has been regularly invited for masters concerning “The Piano Literature of the XX century” by many prestigious music institutions (S. Francisco State University ,Stanford University , University of Toronto , Illinois University Chicago ,Royal Danish Academy of Music Copenhagen, Escola Superior de Musica Lisbon, , National Music Academy Sofia, Music Academy Zagreb , Norges Musikkhogskole Oslo…)
