This will be the 8th dinner of the sought-after series “Sotto una buona stella” (Under a lucky star) that began in 2015 and is presented by The King Street Food Company, the Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura (IIC) and the Italian Trade Commission in partnership with George Brown College. This unique series brings some of Italy’s top chefs to Toronto to present their food philosophy, engage students at George Brown College and to host a dinner with Chef Rob Gentile at Buca.

The proceeds from this spectacular, one-time collaboration on May 16th will support the construction of a shelter for Pane Quotidiano in Milan. Pane Quotidiano (Daily Bread) is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to ensure – every day, and for free, the distribution of food to the poorest sections of the local population. The organization has been pursuing its mission for more than a century and continues to stay true to its motto “. . .sister, brother, here no one asks you who you are, why you need or your reasons. . . “
