Sotto una buona stella (Under a lucky star): Chef Valeria Piccini

On the occasion of the of the “WORLD WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE “, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura is pleased to present ” Sotto una buona stella “(Under a lucky star), the outstanding dinner events featuring some of the best chefs from Italy.

On Wednesday, November 21, experience the exceptional cuisine of multi-Michelin star Chef Valeria Piccini of Caino, in a Relais & Châteaux property located in the Heart of the Maremma, in southern Tuscany.

Valeria became a chef from sheer passion, and never went to a vocational college: from a very early age, her mother and her grandmother taught Valeria an appreciation for the fine touch and traditional cuisine – which she retains to this day amidst her innovations. Piccini started to cook at the end of the 70s in the family restaurant, without any other professional experience.

Chef Valeria Piccini is known and beloved for her creative “clarity” and warm personality. Her cuisine sets out to be simple and unique, full of flavour and balance, aiming at virtually perfect flavours.
