PUBLIC LECTURE BY PROFESSOR MARC RABOY

As a contribution to the celebrations for Canada’s 150th, the Dante Alighieri Society [SDA] of Ottawa – with the support of Carleton University, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Toronto and the Italian Embassy – cordially invites you to the public lecture of prof. Marc Raboy, from McGill University, on his celebrated biography Marconi the Man Who Networked the World (OUP, 2016).

Through the lenses of a keen observer of world affairs, Prof. Raboy will provide a lively account of Marconi’s story, from young inventor, to start up entrepreneur, Nobel laureate and global businessman among the world leaders of his time.

Prof. Raboy’s book is based on original research and unpublished archival materials in four countries and several languages and it was among the five finalists of this year’s prestigious Charles Taylor Prize for non fiction.

The lecture will be followed by a brief Q&A session, book signing (20% discount on the book) and a light reception.

The lecture will be held at Carleton University, MacOdrum Library. Room 252.
