“La guerra secondo Michele” is a novel, rich of historical details, based on the true story of Michele, who has been a prisoner of the German Army during the Second World War.
The author Daniela Sanzone is a writer, a journalist, and a PhD candidate in Communication & Culture, joint program York/Ryerson Universities, in Toronto, researching ethnic media and the future of journalism in the digital era. She published a few books; “La Guerra secondo Michele” is her first novel. Before embracing her academic project on how the complexity of Toronto multiculturalism is reflected on public news, Daniela has been a journalist and a film critic. She worked for television and radio, print and online media, including RAI, the Italian national public television. In Toronto, she has been a News Anchor, On-Air Host, Producer and Reporter for the Italian News at Omni Television and a reporter for the Italian newspaper Corriere Canadese; she is freelancing for the daily newspaper Il Manifesto and worked as a correspondent from Canada to Italy for Ansa, the Italian more established national news agency.
