Italy Inspires Canada Lecture with Stefano Domenicali

On the occasion of Italian Research Day (Giornata della ricerca italiana nel mondo) the Istituto Italiano di Cultura is pleased to present a lecture by Stefano Domenicali.

In his lecture at the University of Toronto, Mr. Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, will focus on two main topics: young generations and innovation in the super sports automotive industry.

In the former, he will elaborate on his relation with young people and will highlight the paramount importance of the competencies that they bring in today’s competitive arena.

In the latter, he will explain the mega trends in the automotive industry and Lamborghini response in terms of customer experience, innovation and know-how.

Italy Inspires Canada is a series of lecture, two per year, to showcase Italy at the forefront of science, art and technology.

The Italian Research Day (April 15) is an initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) to promote the important work of Italian scientists and researchers in the World.

Stefano Domenicali, born on 11 May 1965 in Imola, is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.

After studying business administration at the University of Bologna he began his professional career in 1991 with Ferrari. From 2004 he headed the Direzione Sportiva F1 and in 2008 became Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari F1. Under his guidance Ferrari won a total of 14 titles in the F1 Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships.

From 2009 to 2014 Domenicali represented Ferrari in the F.I.A World Motor Sport Council and still belongs to that body today. He is currently president of the F.I.A. Single Seater Commission.
