Colapesce and Dimartino present an intimate, stripped-down acoustic performance centred on their voices and two guitars, creating a direct and personal connection with the audience. Moving away from a full-band setting, the concert brings their songwriting, melodies, and distinctive artistic chemistry to the forefront, offering a more immediate and engaging listening experience.
The setlist traces key moments in Colapesce and Dimartino’s artistic journey, bringing together some of their best-known songs with pieces that showcase the depth of their songwriting and the narrative quality of their music. The intimate acoustic setting also creates space for spontaneous exchanges between the two artists, personal reflections, and stories behind the songs, allowing music and storytelling to come together naturally throughout the performance.
Presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, Picicca Management, Salty Music, Migrazioni Sonore and 42 Records.
ABOUT COLAPESCE AND DIMARTINO
Lorenzo and Antonio: two friends and two of the most sought-after and influential songwriters on the Italian music scene over the past decade.
They returned to the stage of Sanremo’s Ariston Theatre in 2023, following the extraordinary success of “Musica Leggerissima” (certified five-times Platinum) and their first album together, I Mortali (certified Gold). “Musica Leggerissima” became one of the defining songs of 2021, winning over critics and audiences alike. It spent more time at No. 1 on the EarOne Radio Airplay chart than any other song that year, earned five Platinum certifications, and surpassed 150 million total streams. Its Spanish-language version, performed by Ana Mena under the title “Música Ligera,” also became an international hit, winning Best Song – Spain at the 2022 LOS40 Music Awards and achieving Double Platinum certification in Spain.
In November 2023, the duo released Lux Eterna Beach, their second album, preceded by the singles “Cose da pazzi,” their Sanremo entry “Splash,” “Considera,” “La luce che sfiora di taglio la spiaggia mise tutti d’accordo,” “Ragazzo di destra,” and “Sesso e Architettura.”
Their highly anticipated return followed the remarkable success of “Splash,” which won both the Mia Martini Critics’ Award and the Lucio Dalla Press Room Award at the Sanremo Music Festival and was named Song of the Year by Rolling Stone Italia. The duo also made their film debut with La primavera della mia vita, which quickly achieved cult status and received numerous accolades, including the Nastro d’Argento for Best Original Score and a Globo d’Oro.
