Mother Nature has cast a spell on us all and we wait, with bated breath, for our cultural travels to resume safely and for this “suspended” time to release us from captivity. The Museums and Galleries of Milan are still silent and very few visitors are permitted to walk through the ancient halls and gaze at the venerated images of a glorious past. Yet, the Old Master paintings still talk to each other every day from across their gilded frames, magically relating to one another in invisible ways.

This narration by Art Historian Serena Spinelli, live streamed from Milan, will allow us to spend some time admiring the masterpieces from THREE of the city’s oldest collections.

Register and allow us to guide you, from the comfort and safety of your own home, in the discovery of a few carefully chosen pieces from these distinguished Milanese Institutions.

Presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto and Art and the City Milan.

UPCOMING LECTURES IN THE SERIES:

Friday, June 19 | 3:00pm EDT
From Botticelli’s Crisis to Leonardo’s Convictions: Four works from the Erudite AMBROSIANA COLLECTION

Friday, June 26 | 3:00pm EDT
