Dissonanze in Accordo. A concert to present the Rondine’s Project

Rondine Ensemble and testimonies by students, young “enemies” from places of war who have chosen to live in Rondine to resolve their conflict and become peace leaders of their own countries

December 14th 2018, 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.

St Michaels College, Toronto

The concert "Dissonanze in Accordo" is a journey through the history of conflict transformation. With the music of Rondine's Ensemble, composed of young artists from countries at war, Professor Franco Vaccari, President and Founder of Rondine, introduces three stories of students who are living the experience of Rondine's program.

To the tune of a repertoire linked to the historic events of the last century, the young witnesses will explain how behind an enemy you can discover a human being.

Association Rondine

For 20 years Association Rondine, in Italy, has been working for peace, proposing an original training program for young people coming from different cultures or from Countries in conflict areas. The program teaches them to understand their own conflict and accept to live with their own enemy.

During a two-year experience, participants deconstruct the idea of the enemy and work actively to develop projects with social, political and economic impact contributing to a peaceful development in their own Countries and in the world.

To achieve these results, students receive high quality training on topics connected to conflict management, improve their communication skills and learn about the necessary methodologies to create concrete opportunities.

In addition to this specific training, students develop a professional and academic, personalized curriculum by attending a university master degree or a high specialization vocational training.
