Meet actor Giuseppe Battiston at Istituto Italiano di Cultura

The Istituto Italiano di Cultura is proud to welcome a press conference with the Italian actor, Giuseppe Battiston, special guest at ICFF with his lask work "Finchè c'è prosecco c'è speranza / The Last Prosecco".

Battiston, has dedicated his life to the art of acting – over the past 28 years, he has starred in over 50 films.

For the film "Pane e tulipani / Bread and Tulips" (2000), directed by Silvio Soldini, he won the David di Donatello and the Ciak d’Oro prestigious awards as Best Supporting Actor. Battiston was also nominated for another David di Donatello award for the film "Agata e la tempesta / Agata and The Storm" (2006), directed by Silvio Soldini. He was one of the main characters on screen in very popular film "Chiedimi se sono felice / Ask me if I’m Happy" (2000) and "La tigre e la neve / The Tiger and the Snow" (2005) directed by Roberto Benigni, while in 2016 he acted in the successful box office film "Perfetti sconosciuti / Perfect Strangers", directed by Paolo Genovese. His great talent as an actor has so far granted him a total of 13 awards and another 17 nominations for many prestigious Italian awards.
