Gianfranco Pappalardo Fiumara, pianist and Roberto Cresca, tenor, will be in Toronto on the occasion of the commemoration of Gabriele D’Annunzio (1863-1938) with two concerts on the “arie da salotto” of Tosti, a friend of D’Annunzio and with special attention to the texts of D’Annunzio. An excursus of lounge romances that will lead to listen to the music of the period with particular attention to a rare performance of “Il Commiato” by Giuseppe Blanc and an equally rare and particular performance of Giacomo Puccini’s anthem of Rome.
